Our
Beginners Courses are tailored for those who have never danced before.
We teach a mixture of Ballroom and Latin
American dances. Beginners will learn the very basics of:
Social Foxtrot
Waltz
Cha Cha Cha
Rock and Roll
As pupils become more confident we teach
more variations in these dances and gradually learn from the following:
2. How long is a course of lessons?
There is no set
length of time for our courses. Pupils stay with us until they feel they have
reached the level they are happy with. Some of our advanced level pupils have
been with us for over 2 years.
The most
important thing is to be comfortable when dancing. A pair of shoes with leather type soles are
fine. Trainers are not suitable for dancing. Ladies sandals are not ideal to
start with – toes do get trodden on!
Classes cost £6
per person per class. Each class lasts an hour.
5. How do I pay for my classes?
Because we do not run a set course of lessons pupils pay at the beginning of each class they attend. Yes, you do. 7. Do you have children's classes?
No. Our classes are all for adult pupils (over 18). 8. When does your next beginners class start?
SHEPSHED Our latest Beginners Class started on Thursday 2nd February 2012 at 8.30 pm at St Botolph's Church Hall. There are still some late places available. To enrol see our Classes page.
LEICESTER We have no new classes scheduled at the moment. We will update this space with news on future Beginners Classes in due course.
